About The Diocese of Westminster Academy Trust
DoWAT is at an exciting stage in our evolution as a leading Catholic MAT. Founded upon the strengths of our 11 original schools, we are consistently amongst the top performing multi-academy trusts in the country.
We are committed to a school-led, school improvement structure that is Christ centred, and child-centred. We have a deep commitment to Catholic social teaching and the common good. We believe that academy structures, done well, allow the common good to flourish and offer the best route to future Catholic educational excellence.
Our Trust leader and teacher development structures are led by our schools. We believe in providing the time, space and opportunity for great teachers to learn from one another. We use our central Trust resource to enable DoWAT school leaders to grow. Our school improvement pyramid is founded upon the collective improvement priorities of our schools.
