Ashfield School are looking to appoint
a SENCO (Special Educational Needs
Co-Ordinator). This post plays a vital role in ensuring we deliver
exceptional outcomes for our students, and that they are happy and well cared
for. As SENDCO you will be responsible for the achievement and pastoral case of
SEND students and manage day to implementation of the SEND policy and adherence
to the Code of Practice.
This role co-ordinates provision for
individual students, including those with EHC plans, and provides professional
advice and guidance to colleagues across our school including the line
management and development of SEND staff. Your work will be solely based within
our school but you will also be contributing to the wider development of SEND
practices across the Trust.
The right person for this role must
have a Qualified Teacher status and possess/ or be able to quickly achieve the
National Award for Special Educational Needs provision. You must have
comprehensive and up to date knowledge of the statutory requirements for SEND
and safeguarding and great knowledge of the SEN Code of Conduct.
The ideal candidate will have
experience of working in secondary education, experience as a SENDCO, and
successful liaison with other professionals to meet the needs of all children.
Teaching roles: Applicants must be
