About this Role

An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Teacher of Religious Studies (Philosophy, Religion and Ethics - PRE) to join our successful, dynamic and friendly team in September 2026. This is a compulsory subject.

We are a successful forward thinking Upper School based in a beautiful rural setting in the heart of central Bedfordshire with excellent transport links.   We are very lucky to occupy a large site, with lots of green, outside space for our students and staff to enjoy.

We offer staff the opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive community with talented, caring and dedicated colleagues. We have implemented a 1pm Friday school finish time to support staff and student well-being. Please see our Staff Wellbeing Charter for our wider approach to staff well-being.

What makes Harlington Upper School special is the real sense of community that you can see and sense as you walk around the school. Each individual child is important to us, and our expectation is that all our students will develop and grow as young people as they make their journey as part of our community. The quality of teaching is strong, and our staff are talented, caring and dedicated, and we are very proud of our staff and students. Prospective candidates are welcome to contact us for a tour of the school.

Harlington Upper School makes a difference to young people, and we very much look forward to welcoming a new colleague to join our successful team.
