About this Role

Are you an enthusiastic and dynamic primary or secondary trained Teacher?

If so, why not consider joining our school.  From September 2026 we would like to appoint a suitably qualified person to teach some of our students who are working at KS2 level.  You will support the Alternative Curriculum Team and SEND Team with providing appropriate lessons for groups of students, including small groups of mixed aged students.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone with a passion for supporting students with additional needs
  •  A confident understanding of SEND needs and the ability to inspire students through suitably adapted lessons
  • An imaginative person looking to strengthen provision across the school
  • A successful teacher who believes in bringing out the best in every student
  • Applications are welcome from either primary or secondary trained teachers wanting to support the catch-up programme

Why choose our school?

  • We offer excellent opportunities for professional development and a bespoke programme of support and training based on individual needs
  • SEN 1 point available for suitably experienced applicants
  • Transport links are excellent with the M1, M25, A1 and A41 being close by
  • Heavily subsidised childcare at our Little Gems Nursery
  • Free gym membership to all employees across the Bushey St James Trust
  • Employee Assistance Programme for support and guidance on health, legal and personal matters
  • Eye care voucher scheme
  • Bike to Work Scheme

If you would like to discuss the role, please contact Rosie Dean, HR and Recruitment Administrator on 020 8955 8833.

To apply for this full-time post please send in a completed application form along with a covering letter, addressed to Mr J Turner, Executive Principal.  Your completed application form and letter should be returned to the school by post or by email to:  recruitment@busheymeads.org.uk by the deadline.  Please note that CVs and late applications will not be accepted and you must have the right to work in the UK

Closing Date for applications:    Wednesday 15th April 2026 (9am)

                                    Interviews:     TBC

We reserve the right to make an appointment before the closing date, so early application is advised.

Bushey St James Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.  An offer of employment will be subject to a number of pre-employment checks including ID and Right to Work in the UK, satisfactory written references, occupational health check and a successful Enhanced DBS check.
