We
are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and organised person to appoint as a ‘Lead
Learning Assistant – Alternative Curriculum’. The successful person will have an interest
in hair and beauty and have a desire to pass on these skills to small groups of
students.
In this role you will deliver bespoke
interventions as well as other identified alternative provisions ensuring the
needs of students are met. These
alternative courses maximise the inclusion and learning of these students and
promote and encourage independence and life skills for the future. Students build up a portfolio of certificates to evidence their
skills, knowledge and experience as they progress through the scheme. The
scheme boosts confidence, increases engagement and improves motivation, helping
students to make progress on their lifelong learning journey.

The post is for 37 hours per week
(excluding unpaid breaks), term-time + 1 week to include 5 INSET days. In the first instance this is a fixed term
post until 31st December 2026 with the possibility of
extending. The salary range for this
post is APT&C point 6 - 9 plus London Fringe (£25,989pa to £27,254pa + £1045pa),
paid pro-rata. The actual pro-rata range
is £22,228pa - £23,310pa + £893pa.
