About this Role

Icknield High School is a highly successful mixed Academy with an excellent reputation, situated in large pleasant grounds on the northern outskirts of Luton. Icknield High School is committed to providing a supportive, inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, proactive and committed Attendance Officer to play a key role in monitoring and promoting student attendance and punctuality. This is a vital role within our pastoral team, ensuring that every student has the best possible opportunity to succeed.

The successful candidate will monitor, analyse and report on attendance data, identify students of concern, and work closely with families, staff and external agencies to improve attendance outcomes. The role has a strong safeguarding focus, requiring accurate record keeping, home visits and prompt follow‑up of absence concerns.

This is a hands‑on role that is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building relationships with young people and their families.
