Annual Leave: 25 days plus public holidays
Working Pattern: Some shift work and occasional weekend work required

About the Role

Stamford Welland Academy is seeking a dedicated, proactive, and highly organised Facilities Manager to join our team. This is a key role in ensuring our school provides a safe, welcoming, and high‑quality environment for students, staff, and visitors.

As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management, maintenance, and development of the school site and buildings. You will ensure that the academy remains safe, secure, compliant, and operational at all times, while leading a small site team and coordinating external contractors & community lettings & events.

This is a very exciting time to be joining Stamford Welland Academy with a proposed 3G facility being installed this year and supporting the Headteacher with increasing student facilities & buildings. 

Key Responsibilities

  • ·         Manage the maintenance, care, and security of the school buildings and grounds
  • ·         Coordinate and supervise contractors and site staff
  • ·         Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and caretaking duties
  • ·         Ensure the site is compliant with all relevant health and safety requirements
  • ·         Monitor and manage site-related budgets and stock
  • ·         Support school events, occasionally including evenings or weekends
  • ·         Implement and maintain appropriate site procedures and schedules
  • ·         Respond to out-of-hours callouts when required
  • ·         Oversee the lettings of the school and school system
  • Support long‑term site development and improvement projects.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • ·         Highly organised with strong problem‑solving skills.

  • ·         Experienced in facilities, estates, or site management (preferably within an educational or public sector setting).
  • ·         Knowledgeable about health and safety regulations, statutory compliance, and risk management.

    ·         Practical, hands‑on, and confident supervising maintenance tasks.

    ·         Able to lead a team and build positive relationships with staff, students, and contractors.

    ·         Calm, reliable, and able to prioritise in a busy environment.
