The Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant SENDCo to support the strategic and operational leadership of our SEND provision. Working closely with the SENDCo, you will help ensure that all students with special educational needs and disabilities receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of SEND provision across the school
  • Support the identification and assessment of students with SEND
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of EHCPs and support plans
  • Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective support
  • Deliver targeted interventions and monitor student progress
  • Promote inclusive teaching practices and staff training

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with students with SEND in a school setting
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is organised, proactive, and committed to inclusive education
  • Can work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
