About this Role

A unique opportunity has arisen to join The Hessle Academy and to take a leading role in establishing and developing the area's only Enhanced Resource Provision for students with Cognition & Learning needs.  Based at Hessle High School, you will lead a team of Learning Assistants and Administrative staff to provide students with the very best curriculum and pastoral provision

About You

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher. A suitable SEND qualification is desirable and/or the willingness and desire to train to SENDCo level is essential. 

The successful candidate will have a Level 2 in English and Maths, supported by a strong level of ICT skills. A HLTA or equivalent is required and a QTS preferable. 

Adaptable attention to detail is required and excellent communication and inter-personal skills are an absolute necessity.

Experience of working in a school SEND setting and supporting learners with additional needs would be advantageous, along with knowledge of EHCP  process. The role involves lesson planning and delivery and regular liaison with external agencies. 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a passion for developing themselves through a commitment to CPD
