About this Role

As an Inclusion Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with their personal development, behaviour management, and academic progress. Working closely with the Inclusion Team, Achievement Coordinators, SENDCo, and Senior Leadership Team, you will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality pastoral care and behaviour support to students.

  • Support the implementation of personal development and behaviour management strategies.

  • Assist in delivering preventative interventions to support students' emotional and social well-being.

  • Work collaboratively with staff to address barriers to learning for students with additional needs.

  • Monitor attendance, behaviour, and achievement data, supporting Year Teams in taking appropriate action.

  • Maintain strong communication with parents/carers to ensure effective support systems.

  • Be a visible and professional presence around the school, modelling positive behaviour.

  • Assist in investigating behaviour incidents and liaising with relevant stakeholders.

  • Support the administration and coordination of attendance, behaviour, and personal development systems.

  • Contribute to SEND provision and evaluation of intervention strategies.

  • Undertake training to support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, sensory impairments, and physical/mental health needs.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic individual with:

  • A strong understanding of behaviour management and personal development strategies.

  • Experience supporting students with additional needs, including SEND, SEMH, and behavioural challenges.

  • The ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, staff, and parents/carers.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

  • A willingness to undertake First Aid and Mental Health training.
