Start date:  September 2025

We are seeking an enthusiastic and resourceful teacher to join our Learning Support department. You do not need to have experience already as a specialist Learning Support teacher, but you will need to share our passion for inclusivity, and you will need to bring understanding, commitment and ideas.

The department is large and well-resourced, with a dedicated learning Support classroom, and our SENDCo is an Assistant Headteacher.  You can find out more about our department from our website https://roundwoodpark.co.uk/sendrps-learning-support/

Amongst the benefits of working at Roundwood Park are significantly:

·         Priority for children of staff in our Admissions Policy

·         Support teams of Cover Supervisors and Exam Invigilators

·         Comprehensive staff CPD programme

·         An ethos of care and kindness at the centre of everything that we do

·         Flu vaccinations, eye care scheme, cycle-to-work scheme etc

·         For more see the Working at RPS page on our website

Our OFSTED grading has recently been confirmed as Outstanding (November 2023) and the inspection team have written that:

‘Staff say that they are very well supported. Staff feel valued. They have high praise for how leaders look after the staff’s well-being and their workload.’

‘A school of exceptional quality.’

‘The broad and ambitious curriculum engages all pupils, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities.’

You can find out more about us from our website or from our various very lively social media pages.

At Roundwood Park School, we continue to strive to build a diverse and inclusive workplace ensuring that our student body is represented in the staff and where everyone feels valued. Through our work in the last year with the Great Representation programme and the completion of the Anti-racist School Audit with HFL Education, we are actively committed to ensuring equity and inclusion is a continued priority throughout all things we do. It forms a major element of our school improvement plan in order that the work we do makes a sustained difference for all. We therefore strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds, particularly those from underrepresented groups, and are committed to create an environment where everyone feels seen, heard and feels that they belong - a place where everyone can flourish.

We will need to obtain references in advance of interview for any candidate short-listed, and all job offers are subject to satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance.
