About this Role

Our wonderful primary school and nursery is where children are at the heart of everything we do. We believe every child deserves an excellent education in a safe, nurturing environment with staff who care deeply and go above and beyond. Our children consistently achieve some of the best results in the borough, with progress and attainment well above national averages. We are proud to be ranked in the top 5% of schools nationally and to have received a national Silver Award for Primary School of the Year. At our academy, success is celebrated, relationships with families are strong, and every child is supported to thrive and reach their full potential.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef Manager to join our team and help feed our children something truly good every day. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a busy kitchen and team, excellent knowledge of nutrition and child-friendly meals and a genuine commitment to promoting healthy eating. They should be creative, organised and confident in planning menus that meet dietary needs and are compliant with school food standards. Strong leadership skills, the ability to manage stock and budgets and a warm, approachable manner when working with staff and children alike are all key. A food hygiene qualification, recognised catering certificate and previous experience in an educational or similar setting would be a real bonus.

The role is Term Time + 2 weeks

Actual Salary: £28,917 – 28 £30,152
