About this Role

Train to become a Teacher of History with the Greenwood Academies Trust and benefit from a tailored package of support and development from outstanding, experienced teachers and tutors.

In partnership with our accredited provider, the University of Coventry, we are offering a Post Graduate Teacher Apprenticeship training place in History to start in September 2026. Based at Weston Favell Academy, you will combine on the job learning with online study to gain a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). 

In order to apply you must have: 

  • Potential to teach at a ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ level
  • GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
  • A levels B,C,C, minimum, with B in Maths. A levels in citizenship skills, general studies, and critical thinking are not accepted.
  • Subject related Degree (minimum 2:2)
  • UK ENIC comparability for overseas qualifications

The successful candidate will also be required to complete an application and further selection process with the training provider prior to offer.
