Discover What Highcrest Can Offer You
How does working nine days but being paid for ten sound?
Since September 2024, all permanent staff at Highcrest have benefitted from a 9-day working fortnight. The concept is simple: you attend work for nine days and get paid for ten. The tenth day is your dedicated ‘Reset Day’ — time away from school to catch up on your to-do list, recharge, and invest in your well-being. Staff feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Colleagues return from their reset day feeling more energised, less overwhelmed, and better able to manage the demands of school life. Many also enjoy the extra flexibility, reduced travel time, and cost savings.
As part of our dedication to staff wellbeing, we are excited to be able to offer this role on a flexible basis. While the nature of the role will require set times of each month where there may be the need to be on site, we are happy to commit to offering annualised hours for this position with the option to work from home and to be as flexible as possible for the right candidate. A full discussion will be offered on the flexibility of the role at interview and we are prepared to work with the successful candidate to ensure the hours and weeks worked are right for both them and the academy.
Does Highcrest sound like the school for you?
