About this Role

We are seeking to recruit a Cover & Attendance Coordinator for this new role in our support team.

The Role

  • To be responsible for the coordination and administration of cover, ensuring cover arrangements are in place and proactively managed to avoid disruption to students’ learning.
  • To provide administrative support to attendance and safeguarding.

Hours of work

The role is term time only (plus INSET days) working 36 hours, Monday to Friday. 

Unplanned cover has to be managed on the day and calls from teaching staff are made between 7am and 7.15am. It is important that this person is available to plan changes before teachers start their day. Therefore, expected hours will be as follows, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break:

  • 7.30am to 2.45pm Monday to Thursday
    7.30am to 2.30pm Friday

The successful candidate will

  • have office administration experience, ideally in a school and having used Microsoft Office and SIMs
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • be able to prioritise workload and multi task
