This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has interest in supporting the wellbeing and mental health of neurodivergent young people.   Experience preferred but not essential.

You would join a team who puts the young person at the centre of their considerations in our community of keen and highly able students.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

• Establishing supportive relationships with SEN students, both on a 1:1 basis and within small groups (in and outside of the classroom)
  
  
• Running small group sessions to support students to overcome barriers to learning  e.g. social skills, study skills, stress and anxiety management etc. 
  
  
• Giving positive encouragement, feedback and praise to reinforce and sustain the student’s efforts and develop self-reliance and self-esteem
  
  
• Providing regular feedback on the student’s learning and behaviour to relevant members of staff, including feedback on the effectiveness of the strategies adopted
  
  

The successful candidate will display:

• a willingness to learn and to get involved
  
  
• an understanding of what struggles a neurodivergent student may have in a mainstream setting
