An apprentice Teaching Assistant is required to
join our primary school. We want the successful candidate to share our vision
of providing creative and stimulating learning opportunities to develop the
whole child.
The
successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced
professionals in a friendly and supportive working environment. They will work
with a variety of children from different backgrounds with differing needs.
They will support the class teacher and the children within the classroom
setting as well as delivering intervention support for small groups or
individuals based on their needs.
As an apprentice, you will learn through on-the-job training and gain valuable experience to support you in gaining your qualification. A dedicated mentor will be assigned and you will work alongside an experienced team of colleagues who will supervise and guide you throughout your apprenticeship.
You will be:
• Supporting the class teacher to plan, prepare and deliver lessons
• Preparing resources to support children’s learning
• Supporting the class teacher with the classroom environment to ensure it supports learning
• Delivering interventions to groups or individual children
• Supporting health and safety and fulfil safeguarding responsibilities for all children
• Supporting children at playtimes and lunchtimes through supervision and engagement in play
Working 32.5 hour per week Monday to Friday (08:15 - 15:45)
