About this Role

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, diligent and highly skilled teacher of English. The successful candidate will be accomplished in planning and be capable of delivering a high-quality and ambitious curriculum for all children. This post is full time but we would consider applications from candidates seeking a part time contract.

 The English Faculty is a passionate, talented and dedicated team with a keen interest in teaching and learning. Our staff are keen to work collaboratively to secure the best outcomes for the children. The English Faculty consists of 17 teaching staff with a broad range of experience.

 Students benefit from a carefully sequenced curriculum, underpinned by pedagogical research, which challenges all learners. Our curriculum celebrates the diversity of the Fernwood Family and seeks to empower young people to find their voice. The English Faculty use curriculum resources as a springboard for their adaptive teaching; we encourage staff to innovate and teach creatively in a way that feels authentic to them, whilst ensuring students receive a balanced and varied English education.

The right candidate will have a clear vision for the future development of teaching and learning in English. They will be able to drive improvement in the outcomes within English and motivate and lead the faculty to further success.
