About this Role

The successful applicant will be a strong classroom teacher with a track record of adding value to their own classes and their department. They must also be able to teach Classics at A Level.

As a Classics specialist, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons to our students who are passionate about learning, motivated to succeed, and demonstrate exemplary behaviour. You will also be able to teach Latin and Classical Civilisation. The ability to teach Ancient History at KS4 is also desirable.

  • Good honours degree in a relevant subject area
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Very good practitioner, consistently rated as accomplished (or an ECT on the way to this)
  • Ability to teach Classics, Latin and Classical Civilisation.
  • It is also desirable to be able to teach Ancient History at KS4.
  • Innovation, identifying alternative ways to resolve issues, improving standards and procedures as part of a team
  • Confident user of ICT to enhance teaching and learning
