Over view of the job

At Challney, our English team is both strong and dynamic with a wide range of specialisms and two existing examiners for the new AQA specification. The results of this department have been consistently outstanding over time including in the changeover to the new specification. 

Our team has a robust tradition of distributing responsibilities and cultivating talent and has a consistent history of promoting from within when it comes to leadership opportunities.  We provide a strong culture of support and care for our staff.

The department is housed in our new SEA block and every classroom is equipped with a comprehensive suite of teaching resources including modern teaching walls and Samsung Screen technology.

The successful candidate will demonstrate real enthusiasm for teaching English and a willingness to work to make an already established department even stronger with full CPD and ECT support available.  By joining us at Challney High School for Boys you will be guaranteeing yourself a solid start to a long, happy and productive career as an outstanding practitioner of English teaching.
