About this Role

An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional administrator to join Kings Norton Girls’ School.  KNGS is an OFSTED outstanding school and is a founding member of West Midlands Multi Academy Trust (WMAT). The school has a comprehensive intake and a co-educational sixth form.  We are proud of our vibrant, socially and culturally diverse school, which lies in the heart of our community, and is highly regarded in our local area and beyond. We achieve excellent academic and pastoral outcomes for students within a culture of care, concern and well-being for both students and staff.

The role is available for an immediate start on a temporary contract working full time (37 hours per week) on a term time only basis.  The post is available as soon as possible, initially until the end of July 2026 however, the role may be extended.

At KNGS, we are committed to helping every learner flourish. Through a broad and balanced curriculum enriched with diverse opportunities, we nurture skills, creativity and independence so that students can achieve their full potential and overcome potential barriers to learning.

We are seeking an organised, dedicated and collaborative administrator who is passionate about supporting a professional and committed pastoral team, as an integral part of the team.  This role is key in ensuring that the development of our students is supported by providing effective and efficient administrative support to the pastoral team.  Exceptional administration will ensure that wider school processes, procedures and operations run smoothly on a daily basis to aid the functions of the pastoral team.

The successful candidate will be committed to contributing to a team ethos which enables young people to flourish.  You will have significant experience of working in a busy administrative environment with changing priorities throughout the day, with the ability to adapt to change and implement and improve systems, procedures and protocols. It is essential that you are an able communicator both verbally and in writing, along with an ability to problem solve whilst maintaining accuracy.  Experience of working in a school is not essential; please refer to information about the faculty, job description and person specification contained in the recruitment pack.
