An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Teacher to join Kings Norton Girls’ School as a Head of Year. The role is available immediately, or for a September start on a permanent, full time basis, all subject specialisms will be considered. The role is not suitable for ECT applications.

The role of Head of Year is key to ensuring that exceptional pastoral
support is available to our students. The successful applicant will lead the
development of students within their allocated year group and lead and manage a
year team of form tutors. They will ensure high quality tutoring and work with
staff, students, parents and carers to support learning, behaviour for
learning, attendance and personal and social growth for students within the
year group.
This is a teaching post (50% timetable) therefore, we are looking for an
excellent practitioner to join any of our subject teams alongside being an individual that is
committed to working with young people to ensure they flourish. You will recognise the importance of and will
strive to maintain a cohesive school community through building positive
relationships with our students and existing staff. Excellent communication skills are key,
alongside strong organisational skills and the ability to priorities and
