West Midlands Academy Trust (WMAT) is a dynamic group of 3 secondary
schools, founded in South Birmingham in January 2025 of which Kings Norton Girls’
School and Sixth Form (KNGS) is a founding member. The formation of
WMAT has been a very positive move for the continued development of the school.
KNGS also actively engages in the South Area Network of schools (SAN). For the
right person, this is an outstanding opportunity to build on this fantastic
legacy and lead the school on the next stage of its journey.

The post is available from September 2026 on a full time, permanent basis.
KNGS received an outstanding OFSTED inspection in 2019, an ungraded inspection in January 2025 confirmed that the school had maintained and improved on the previous inspection. Educational outcomes are excellent with 2024 Progress 8 being +0.64, with A level value added at national average in 2025. Due to the retirement of the current Headteacher, we are seeking to appoint an exceptional Headteacher to provide inspiring, values‑driven leadership. The successful candidate will continue to foster a culture built on aspiration, around our vision of ‘Opening a World of Opportunities’ through the values of ‘Demonstrating respect and courage in order to flourish’.
