Teacher of Psychology

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Social Science team at Westcliff High School for Girls. We’re a school with a proud tradition of academic excellence and our school values of Leadership, Enrichment, Scholarship and Kindness underpin every aspect of school life and create a community where ambition, excellence and strong pastoral support thrive side by side.

Our students set themselves the highest expectations and are deeply committed to their learning. Teaching here means inspiring talented, curious young people who will go on to become future leaders in their fields.

  • Enthusiasm, energy, and determination to make a tangible impact on the quality of education at our school.
  • A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular and enrichment activities.
  • The ability to also teach A-Level Sociology is desirable but not essential.

We can offer you:

  • The privilege of teaching highly motivated, high-achieving students who are ambitious, inquisitive, and eager to learn.
  • Excellent professional development as part of the South East Essex Academy Trust — a family of nine schools committed to collaboration and continuous improvement.

We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate excellent communication skills, are proactive and have the ability to transmit enthusiasm in the classroom as well as being a hands-on leader, able to juggle multiple demands on their time and maintain a sense of perspective.

As required, along with all leaders in our Trust, the postholder will support the interests of all learners within the nine schools currently within the South East Essex Academy Trust, as well as potential future schools.

Duties may be modified by the Headteacher in consultation with the post holder to reflect or anticipate changes in the job.
