All students have the opportunity to demonstrate excellence in all areas of school life, enjoy innovation centred teaching & learning, and exhibit the highest levels of respect in our school community. Oakgrove School was the first all-through school in Milton Keynes providing education to ages 3 – 19 and is also a member of Kingsbridge Educational Trust.

Oakgrove School would like all candidates to answer specific questions for the personal statement section. For reference, here is a preview of the questions/headings:

  1. Please describe your experience of supervising children or young people. How do you ensure their safety, well-being, and good behaviour in a group setting?
  2. How would you encourage pupils to make healthy meal choices and engage positively during lunchtime activities? Please give an example if possible.
  3. Describe a situation where you had to deal with a challenging or sensitive issue involving children. How did you respond, and what was the outcome?
  4. This role involves working as part of a team and following school procedures. Can you provide an example of how you have worked effectively with others and followed policies or instructions in a previous role?
  5. This role requires supporting children to engage in play outside and in all weathers. How would you support a child who was on their own in the playground and was not confident to join in games with their friends?
