About this Role

Oakgrove School is looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of History to join our strong, forward thinking and collaborative department from September 2026 to cover for maternity leave. The ability to teach History at a high standard across Key Stages 3 and 4 is essential. The ability to teach History at A Level would also be an advantage along with being able to teach another Humanities subject at KS3. Please detail in your application which other subject you teach. We will gladly considered applications from ECTs as well as experienced teachers.

Oakgrove has a reputation for achieving the highest results, for attainment and progress, in Milton Keynes for both KS4 and KS5 and we are very proud of the successes of our students. The behaviour of our students has been described as exemplary. We have a history of achieving exceptional results and destinations for our students. The staff team at Oakgrove is highly dedicated and supportive and we welcome new staff who share our ethos. We are the hub school for MK:NPQ, offering a full suite of high quality, nationally recognised CPD.

Kingsbridge Educational Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is required for this post prior to commencement
