About this Role
Oakgrove School requires a Cover Supervisor to join the cover team at our Secondary Site. This position involves supervising classes when teachers are absent and delivering the work that teachers have set to minimise disruption to students' learning. Our Cover Supervisors also support 6th Form Study Centre, Reception/Student services so other skill sets, such as customer services, are an advantage.
No previous teaching experience is necessary but a calm, confident and professional manner is essential. Following our Behaviour Management Policy is vital. The successful applicant will also need to be adaptable, motivated and have the ability to use their initiative in the classroom. The core hours for this position are 8:15am - 3:15pm (32.5hrs pw). For an exceptional candidate who can successfully contribute to wider school responsibilities we would consider a finish time of 4:15pm (37 hours pw).
