About this Role

Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive both academically and personally? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to lead on student wellbeing, pastoral care, enrichment and safeguarding in our Post-16 provision, BCX.

BCX is Bodmin College’s innovative and future-focused post-16 provision, designed to empower young people to take their next steps with confidence. Combining high-quality qualifications with exceptional pastoral support and personal development, BCX prepares students for success in further education, apprenticeships, training and employment. At the heart of the provision is the BCX Growth Programme, which develops resilience, wellbeing, life skills, digital expertise and employability skills alongside academic study. Through strong employer partnerships, enrichment opportunities and tailored progression support, BCX provides a dynamic learning experience that enables students to explore their potential, excel in their chosen pathways and build successful futures.

In this rewarding role, you will help students overcome barriers to learning, enhance their college experience, and support their progression into higher education, training or employment. You will support leading a programme of pastoral, enrichment and employability activities, whilst also acting as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and championing the welfare of vulnerable learners.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference to young people's lives, ensuring every student feels supported, safe and empowered to achieve their full potential.
