About this Role

Role: Casual Weekend Site Assistant

Start Date: September 2026

Hours: Weekend Evenings on a casual basis, as directed by the Site Manager

Salary: £14.24 per hour, which includes an allowance for holiday pay

The role

To secure buildings and manage external lettings. 

Maintaining a clean and safe environment for all the school users.  

Providing general maintenance and decorating duties.

DIY tasks as required – painting etc.

The ideal candidate

Experience of working in a school or similar environment 

Flexibility and sensitivity to the needs of a wide range of users of the school 

Flexibility of working shift patterns to cover ad hoc lettings on weekend evenings

Knowledge of efficient cleaning methods and materials 

Evidence of success in handyperson or DIY tasks 

Knowledge of using email and IT 

Full, clean driving license
