The role
- Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), to access learning and develop independence.
- Support students with SEND assisting with their learning, communication, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Provide support in the classroom, in small group interventions, and one-to-one; and as directed at break and lunchtimes
- Contribute to student reviews and record observations
- Work under the direction of the SENDCo and Specialist Teachers, and liaise proactively with teachers regarding pupil profiles and progress
- Discharge a duty of care to all students in the school
The ideal candidate
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent
- Experience working with students with a range of abilities is desirable but not essential.
