Required from 13th April until 17th July 2026.
Hours for the role will be: 8:25am - 4:15pm two days per week, and 8:25am - 3:15pm three days per week, which amounts to 31.58 paid hours per week, including one paid break per day. The role is term time only (38 weeks). You will be paid at H3 and your actual salary for a full academic year will be £19,004 per annum.
The Role
- Ideal role for gaining classroom experience
- Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) at WBGS
- Work under the direction of the SENDCo and Specialist Teachers
- Provide support in classroom, one-to-one, and in small group interventions
- Build positive, supportive relationships with students
- Promote inclusion, independence, and self-esteem
- Assist with learning activities, behaviour, language, and emotional needs
- Clarify instructions and help students access materials and equipment
- Liaise with Teachers regarding pupil profiles and progress
- Develop appropriate learning resources
- Contribute to student reviews and maintain home-school links (where appropriate)
- Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, and school policies
- Participate in training and professional development.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in working with students with a range of abilities is desirable but not essential.
