The role
- Teaching at all levels within a dynamic, energetic department
- Planning and preparing lessons to reflect individual needs of students
- Regular assessment of students in line with departmental and school policies
- Fulfilment of tasks as set by the Head of Department
- Participation in meetings with colleagues, parents and students relating to the responsibilities listed above
- To discharge a duty of care to all students in the school.
- To be aware of, and operate within, all policies relating to student welfare and guidance, especially in the area of Child Protection.
The ideal candidate
- The ability to coach one or more of our other major sports Rugby/Hockey/Cricket is essential. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our students who regularly compete at County, Regional and National level. WBGS has an excellent reputation for sporting inclusivity and excellence and has recently benefitted from significant investment in sports facilities.
- Honours degree in a relevant subject and Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching A-Level is desirable
- Applications are equally welcome from experienced or newly-qualified teachers.
