Main duties and responsibilities
- Covering lessons during short-term staff absence
- Supervising the class whilst they complete tasks set by the teacher
- Assisting in the teaching of games and extracurricular sport programmes
- During periods when no cover is required, the postholder will be expected to help with other administrative or support staff tasks, as requested by the Cover Manager.
Requirements
- A talent in one of our major sports, i.e. rugby, hockey or cricket
- A commitment to extracurricular, mid-week and Saturday fixtures is essential
- An organised, thorough and committed individual with an ability to command respect from students
- Energy, enthusiasm, dedication and a willingness to contribute to the student experience in this busy school.
Contract
- Required for 5th January 2026
- Full time (37 hours per week), term time only (38 weeks per year)
- Grade H5, Actual Salary £23,663 per annum
- Additional income can be generated by taking on lunchtime duties.
