King's Lynn Academy are recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible to join its friendly team here at King's Lynn Academy. You will work closely with teaching and support colleagues to ensure that the children are given access to the highest quality of teaching and learning opportunities.
You will need to work across Monday to Friday each week with working hours per week of 35 hours, you will be required to attend work during term time, plus an additional week to incorporate training days at the school.
35 hours per week, 39 weeks, (Term Time plus one week)
Grade F12-F17. £19,766. - £21,137 Per annum pro-rated (FTE £26,421 - £28,770)
Permanent positions, available for an immediate start.

Main Purpose
To complement the professional work of the teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing or short term for whole classes under an agreed system of supervision.
To run intervention support for specified individuals/groups of students.

An HLTA qualification or equivalent experience is desired however a willingness to work towards this may be considered for the right candidate.
English and Maths qualifications to Level 2 (GCSE grades A-C), or equivalent is essential to this role along with good personal ICT skills.
A commitment to the welfare and achievement of the students in the school is essential along with the ability to work both with small groups or whole classes. A calm and patient nature, with good organisational skills is essential to this role.
A passion, commitment to learning and the ability to engage with young people and colleagues is key to making this role a success.
Understanding of, and ability to comply with the requirements of safeguarding and child protection is essential.
The ability to travel and work flexibly outside normal hours is desirable.
