We are looking for an exceptional,  Headteacher to lead The Oldham Academy North into its next exciting chapter.

As Headteacher, you will inspire a culture of excellence, inclusion and unwavering ambition for every student. You will empower staff to deliver exceptional teaching, drive rapid and sustainable school improvement, and champion a positive, aspirational environment where young people thrive.  

 Key responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional strategic leadership, setting a clear, ambitious vision that drives rapid and sustained school improvement
  • Champion high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring consistently strong classroom practice across all subjects and year groups.
  • Ensure outstanding outcomes for students, with a relentless focus on progress, attainment and personal development.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and aspirational school culture, where every student feels valued, supported and challenged.
  • Strengthen relationships with families, partners and the wider community, ensuring the academy remains a valued and trusted local institution.
  • Act as a visible, inspiring presence across the academy, modelling professionalism, integrity and ambition at all times.

Pay range: Competitive Salary

Qualifications and Skills: 

  •  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree-level qualification (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record of successful senior leadership in a secondary school
  • Exceptional leadership ability, with experience leading teams through challenge, change and improvement
  • Expertise in data analysis, using evidence to inform strategy and drive targeted interventions
  • Proven success in developing high‑performing staff, coaching and building effective leadership capacity
