E-ACT North Birmingham Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Business to join our forward‑thinking team. The successful candidate will teach Business Studies, with the additional requirement to teach IT for one term to support curriculum needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed practitioner who is confident delivering engaging, high‑quality lessons and who can inspire students to develop strong business knowledge alongside essential digital skills. You will be supported by a collaborative department and a wider academy team focused on ambition, inclusion, and student achievement.

 Key responsibilities: 

  • Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning in Business Studies across relevant key stages
  • Teach IT effectively for one term, ensuring continuity and progression for students
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum and academy expectations
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment
  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and professional standards in line with academy policies

Pay range: M1 - UPS3  - £32,916.00 - £51,048.00

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS
  • Degree in Business, Economics, IT, or a related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge in Business and core IT concepts
  • Ability to plan engaging, well‑structured lessons that meet diverse learning needs
  • Flexible, proactive, and committed to continuous professional development
