West Academy is a happy, inclusive and ambitious school rooted in its
community, where strong relationships and shared values enable young people to
thrive. In our most recent inspection, Ofsted recognised Leeds West Academy as
a school where pupils are happy, feel safe, and benefit from a culture built on
care, commitment and community. This reflects the lived experience of our
students, families and staff, and why there has never been a better time to
join us.
Our
vision is to unite and inspire our community through the power of education,
opportunity and inspiration, securing successful futures for the children of
the west of Leeds. This vision shapes everything we do. We believe that every
young person deserves an excellent education and that schools thrive when staff
feel trusted, supported and able to do their best work.
As
part of the White Rose Academies Trust, Leeds West Academy proudly serves the
communities of Bramley and Rodley and is a popular, oversubscribed academy,
with increasing numbers of families choosing us as their first choice. Our
students engage positively with learning and contribute to a purposeful
environment where high standards and strong relationships go hand in hand.
We
are equally proud of the culture we have built for our staff. Leeds West
Academy is a fabulous place to work, underpinned by a strong sense of belonging
and shared purpose. Colleagues are supported to grow and innovate at every

our exceptional Professional Development provision. It is bespoke and aligned to both individual

Our
academy benefits from outstanding facilities within a £30 million modern
building, enhanced by a significant expansion in 2023. Bright, well-resourced
learning spaces, alongside industry-standard performing arts and sports
facilities, support an ambitious curriculum and a rich Personal Development
experience for students and staff alike.
Leeds
West Academy is an academy on a confident journey of Evolving Excellence.
We are reflective and outward-facing, committed to continual improvement, and
guided by our values and our community.
