Are you highly organised, detail-oriented and passionate about supporting student success? Parkwood E-ACT Academy is seeking an exceptional Exams Officer to lead the planning, administration and delivery of all internal and external examinations.
This is a pivotal role within the academy, ensuring examinations are conducted efficiently, accurately and in full compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirements. Working closely with senior leaders, staff, students and external agencies, you will play a key part in providing a seamless examination experience for all candidates.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of the academy’s examinations process, from entries and timetabling through to results and certification.
- Producing and distributing examination timetables and communicating arrangements to staff, students and parents as required.
- Managing the recruitment, deployment and training of invigilators, ensuring they are fully informed of current regulations and procedures.
- Supporting effective communication systems across the academy and contributing to the smooth operation of wider administrative processes.
- Issuing examination certificates and maintaining accurate examination records
Pay range:
SCP 20 - 26 £29,405.00 - £33,629.43
(FTE: £32,597.00 - £37,280.00)
37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
Permanent
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience of managing examinations within a secondary school environment
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above), including English and Mathematics, or equivalent qualifications
- Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy examination periods.
- Confident user of ICT systems, databases, spreadsheets and reporting tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, parents, examination boards and external agencies
