Meet our headteacher

It is an honour and a privilege to be the Headteacher of Parkwood Academy and to lead our E-ACT Parkwood Family, where we passionately aim to create better life chances for the community we serve. At Parkwood, we prioritise safety and happiness, enabling us to achieve individual and joint success.

At the heart of everything we do are our core values – ‘Ambition, Respect, Collaboration and Honesty’. We set high standards and expectations for all stakeholders whilst preserving the E-ACT values of Thinking Big, Embracing Team Spirit and Doing the right thing.

Our dedicated and committed staff foster a thirst for learning whilst ensuring a nurturing approach to accelerate every child’s educational journey. It gives us great pride to have a culture which promotes a sense of belonging through positive relationships and inclusion, whilst ensuring the highest of outcomes for all of our students.

Through ‘Opening doors and Opening minds’ we develop a purpose and encourage aspiration for all of our students, teaching them resilience, developing their character and cultivating positive emotions to support their transition into the wider world.
