We are looking for a an inspiring Teacher of English to ignite curiosity, raise achievement, and shape confident communicators.  The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons, foster a love of reading and writing, and support students of all abilities to reach their full potential within a collaborative and ambitious department. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons across the curriculum
  • Inspire a love of literature, language, and writing in all learners
  • Use assessment effectively to track progress and inform teaching
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and inclusion

  • Support students’ academic progress and personal development

Pay range: M1 to UPS3 - £32,916.00 - £51,048.00

Qualifications and Skills: 

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it
    • Degree in English or a related subject
    • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
    • Ability to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons
    • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
    • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Willingness to contribute to wider school life
