Teacher of Science
We are
seeking to appoint a motivated and ambitious Teacher of Science to join our
popular and oversubscribed Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for
an energetic and inspirational teacher who is passionate about teaching science.
Both experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers are encouraged to apply. The
ability to teach physics would be an advantage but there is flexibility within
the department to accommodate a biology or chemistry specialist. Science at
Tudor Grange Academy Worcester is taught from key stage 3 to key stage 5, and
there is opportunity for key stage 5 teaching for the right candidate.
Department information
Science
teachers at the Academy plan and teach a curriculum which is inspiring and
challenging and includes creative ideas with lively enriching activities. We
have a team that is supportive, proactive and dedicated to ensuring that every
child at TGAW can flourish and grow.
Students have three science teachers at Key Stage 4.
Teachers are fully supported to teach across disciplines and are typically kept
within their specialism. Our mastery ethos with regards to our content
delivery, our sequencing of curriculum and marking policy have all been praised
for being forward thinking and considerate of staff workload and well-being.
This department is a very hard-working department,
completely committed to excellence. This is a school where we are raising the
profile of science in line with Progress 8 and students are enthusiastic about
the lessons and practical activities we deliver. We
are proud of the fantastic progress since the Academy opened and are proud of
the friendly and work focused relationship that the Science staff engender with

share expertise and benefit from more robust and reliable assessment data.
