To respond to this changing educational landscape, we are raising the profile further of English and Literacy across the curriculum with this role. As Director of English and Literacy, you will champion the importance of improving standards of English and literacy and our pupils’ cultural capital. You must think and act strategically within the school’s overall vision; you must be self-starting, reflective and highly energetic; you are expected to model a can-do attitude to staff, pupils and parents; you must be aspirational, highly responsive and adaptable.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to lead our English department and develop our whole school literacy programme. The successful candidate will also be part of our extended leadership team to ensure that English and literacy are at the forefront of our priorities.
