Are you passionate about helping children and young people with
special educational needs to thrive?
At Milestone Site, we support learners with a wide range of needs
including severe and profound learning difficulties, autism, complex
communication needs, and physical and sensory needs. We are looking for caring,
enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistants to join our dedicated
team.
This is much more than a support role. Every day is different, every
achievement matters, and every interaction has the potential to change a
learner's future.

๐ Explore โ sensory-rich, play-based learning for our youngest
learners and those with the most complex needs.

communication needs through personalised approaches, structure and sensory

independence using visual supports, AAC and meaningful interaction.
๐งก Climb โ preparing learners with moderate to severe learning
difficulties for adulthood, independence and life beyond school.
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
โข Support learners in lessons, therapeutic activities and daily
routines.
โข Help learners develop communication, independence and confidence.
โข Use visual supports, sensory approaches and practical activities to engage
learners.
โข Build positive, trusting relationships with learners and their families.
โข Support personal care where required.
โข Assist with moving and handling procedures (full training provided).
โข Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
โข Celebrate and encourage every step of progress, no matter how small.

Previous experience in a school is helpful but not essential. We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds including care, health, youth work, childcare and early years, customer service and community roles.
