Northampton Academy are seeking to appoint a Senior Facilities Assistant to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in facilities management within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. We are looking for a skilled, hands-on individual with a proactive attitude, who thrives as part of a team and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the Academy provides a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to take on more advanced tasks, support the wider facilities function, and deputise when required—making this an ideal stepping stone into a future management role.

We are committed to your professional growth. You will benefit from ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, alongside structured coaching, mentoring, and support from experienced colleagues. Whether you’re looking to enhance your technical skills or progress into leadership, we will actively support your development and career ambitions.

If you are enthusiastic, flexible, and ready to take the next step in your facilities career, we would love to hear from you.

The successful applicant will:

  • Work as part of a flexible, enthusiastic and hard-working team
  • Have Health & Safety training and uniform provided
  • Have sufficient stamina, energy and good health to cope with a demanding and pressured role

For a confidential discussion about the role, please contact David Reed, Facilities Manager – d.reed@northampton-academy.org or Tim Ball, Cluster Estates Manager – t.ball@northampton-academy.org

This post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
