About this Role

We are seeking a professional, committed and highly skilled individual to lead our admission and assessment hub, PACE. This Higher-Level Teaching Assistant position is supported by a teaching assistant, the Assistant Headteacher, and the Manager of Safeguarding and PACE. The working hours will be 33 hours per week (Monday to Friday), term time only plus 1 week (INSET days) on a permanent contract. We are willing to negotiate the working hours with the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting children who have experienced difficulties in education, an understanding of the reasons why this may be the case and and how to start the process of personal growth.  In this role you will be required to support small groups of learners delivering sessions which help them to integrate into their future educational provision. You will be focussed on ensuring that you are providing the best experience and care possible for the students.

Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification for the key skills and experience that are required for this role.

ACE can offer the successful candidate the support from staff, parents and members (governors) who are enthusiastic, caring and committed to working as a team to achieve the best journey for our students at ACE. You will have the opportunity to develop new skills through guidance and support of the Senior Leadership Team. You will be able to enhance your career by enrolling on the school’s numerous training and CPD schemes that effectively progress the knowledge and skill set of our staff team.

Please ensure that your application addresses all areas of the Job Description and Person Specification. We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable candidate is found.  Applicants for this public facing post will need to demonstrate the ability to converse, and provide effective help or advice, fluently in spoken English.
