This is an exciting opportunity for teaching assistants to join our team through the expansion of our unit provision across two sites: Hunsbury Park Primary school and Chiltern Primary SchoolFrom September 2024 our provision will grow from 50 children to approximately 75, with the increase of another 3 classes across the provision.  

We are looking for:  

  • A positive, team player who is willing to support children in all areas of their learning. 

  • A caring and considerate professional who will support children with their personal care needs. 

  • An individual who has experience of working with children with Autism and their associated needs  

The role: 

Teaching assistants are an integral part of our team, with two teaching assistants in each of our classes, led by a class teacher. The role of the teaching assistant will consist of supporting learning led by the class teacher, small group work and occasionally 1.1 support. In addition, teaching assistants will support students with personal care and hygiene.  

The teaching assistant will be responsible for assisting the teacher to plan and assess student progress in all areas of the curriculum, whilst managing any behaviours displayed by students as part of a class team.  

You should have proven experience of working within primary schools and have at least NVQ2 qualifications or GCSE C or above in both English and Maths.
