About this Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive Healthcare
Assistant to join our Residential Team, supporting students with a range of
health, personal care, and wellbeing needs. Working alongside residential staff
and wider multidisciplinary teams, you will play a vital role in ensuring
students receive the care and support they need to thrive within a safe,
nurturing, and person-centred environment.
The successful candidate will support students with their daily healthcare requirements, promote independence, and respond to individual health and care needs while maintaining the highest standards of care and safeguarding. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of young people in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor student medication in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate medication records and ensure medication stocks are kept up to date.
- Support students with additional health needs within the residential setting.
- Provide personal care and support with daily living activities as required.
- Monitor and report on students' health and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with the residential team and other professionals to deliver high-quality care.
- Promote students' independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
- Ensure all care documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
In this role you will:
- Be caring, patient, and committed to supporting young people
- Have experience in a healthcare, care, or residential setting (desirable)
- Have knowledge of medication administration or be willing to undertake training
- Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Be able to work flexibly across early and late shifts
The role will include a substantial amount of moving and handling and personal care.
