The Role: Bringing ‘Judaism to life’ at the school by offering all learners an
outstanding education in a stimulating informal environment. The successful applicant must have a strong
record of attainment in both Jewish and secular learning, have excellent
communication skills and be able to inspire, challenge and support our
pupils. Experience in a similar role
would be an advantage. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and
passionate educator to join a warm and supportive team.
Safeguarding: The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Before making an application for any vacancy, you should familiarise yourself with our Child Protection & Safeguarding, Recruitment and Selection and our Equal Opportunities policies.
Applicants will be required to
undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks
with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The post is
exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the
Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020 and the School is therefore permitted to
ask job applicants to declare convictions and cautions (including those which
are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order
to assess their suitability to work with children. The school may carry out online searches on
shortlisted applicants and all applicants will be required to provide details
of their online profile, including social-media accounts, as part of their
application.
The safeguarding responsibilities
of the post are outlined in the job description.
