The
successful candidate will provide targeted support for pupils experiencing
barriers to learning, helping them to engage positively with lessons and make
progress both academically and personally. Working closely with teaching staff
and pastoral teams, you will contribute to creating a calm, structured and
nurturing environment that promotes confidence, independence and successful
learning outcomes. Whilst working closely with pupils, either individually or
in small groups, the aim is to provide short term support which helps the pupil
to reintegrate with their peers in the classroom.
The ideal
candidate will demonstrate patience, empathy and excellent interpersonal
skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils who may
present with a range of additional needs. They will be adaptable, resilient and
committed to supporting young people to overcome challenges and achieve their
full potential.
Previous
experience of working with children or young people with Special Educational
Needs is desirable; however, applications are welcomed from individuals who can
demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.
This is an
excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and make a meaningful
difference to the educational experience of vulnerable learners.
