Giles Junior School is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated Sports Coach / Specialist P.E. Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our experienced P.E. Lead and play a key role in delivering high-quality physical education and sporting opportunities across our thriving junior school.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality P.E. lessons across Key Stage 2 (ages 7–11), covering teachers' PPA time, alongside leading lunchtime and after-school clubs, supporting inter-school competitions and helping to organise sporting events throughout the year.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A recognised sports coaching or physical education qualification.

  • Experience working with children aged 7–11 (school experience desirable but not essential).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A passion for encouraging participation and developing children's confidence through sport.

  • Good knowledge of the National Curriculum for Physical Education.

  • High expectations of behaviour and achievement.

  • The enthusiasm to contribute to the wider life of the school through clubs, competitions and sporting events.
